The Funk Soul & Disco Show 09/06/2021

Welcome to the first official Funk Soul and Disco show! So why the name change? Well there’s nothing wrong with the old show name, Late Night Funk, but as a title it’s a bit restrictive on when and what we broadcast. Our new name and brand change enables a new world of possibilities.

On this week’s show I bore the listeners with tales of my holiday to a lighthouse in Cornwall. It was an amazing trip with some stunning views and some brilliant days on the beach.

We start the show with a stolen track from BBC Radio Cornwall! It’s my obsession track this week, Gladys Knight and the Pips with Bourgie Bourgie. I heard this song on David White’s Boogie Nights show and just had to play it myself. We feature other dance floor fillers from KC and the Sunshine Band, Edwin Starr and George McCrae.
